Well, obviously things didn't work out exactly as we planned the first go 'round. No worries, I wasn't really expecting it to anyway. Luckily for us, and the human race as a whole, we get to keep trying every month. So, we were in Scottsdale over the holidays, with Emily and her crew, my parents and Brent, and let me tell you that might need a whole second blog just to deal with all the family stuff that comes up in those kinds of trips. I'll sum it up by saying, the Griswolds we are not.
Anyway, for those of you keeping score at home, which should be no one because I haven't told anyone about this blog yet in a superstitious effort not to jinx my ability to get pregnant (as if my ovaries are somewhat attuned to the blogosphere...) Brent and I just went through month number two. I have decided to take a slightly different approach this time considering last month I spent no less than $50 (!) on pregnancy tests and took them every day starting about 10 days prior to the expected date of my period just to have it arrive right on time. I had a quick foray into the belief I had morning sickness because I switched vitamins and was nauseated all the live long day. Note to self, drink with morning latte and wait until at least the day the period is due to start testing. I got myself so worked up last time for no good reason. I can really see why people get easily carried away with their fertility and obsess over every detail. That just can't be good for you. And I have enough stuff to obsess about anyway.
So, the long and short of it is nothing doing on the last try. Brent and I had a VERY GOOD New Year's Eve however, so I guess that would make a nice little story someday.
